6 more racing days of the Spring Meet and then it's off to Belmont. Cloudy today, but should be a fast track.
Favorites for the meet are 26 of 43 - I'm staying away from them today as that percentage has got to come back to earth, right?
Race 1 - #8 Red Mule ($6 WP) This will be the second try for Falcone after taking the training duties (a good angle). Found all kinds of trouble in last. Also gets a big time rider upgrade.
Race 3 - #9 Echoes of Destiny ($4 WP, $2 ex key box 5/4,9) Connections must think a lot of this guy, but he was in over his head in the Runyon. Back to a class that suits him, fits, and will be priced right.
Race 4 - #6 Caramocha ($4 WP) Bred to love the grass, has got some speed (although will likely get tied up with Ortiz horse), but I'm backing because the odds will be juicy and everything else has flaws.
Race 8 - #5 Tiberious Mercurious ($4 WP) Taking a stab with a 50-1 shot here. Shouldn't be more than 10-1 vs these so why not?
Race 9 - #2 Hotel Charlie ($6 WP, $1 ex key box 2/5,9) Could improve off debut and although Levine kinda sucks with 2nd-timers, Cancel stays (he had other options).
